Inspiration Friday 4/8/11

Happy Inspiration Friday!

 This movie inspires me:

Go ahead and watch the trailer. It looks really great! It isn't about the animal-killing side of vegetarianism, it's about the body-destroying side of eating meat. I love the interviews with the doctors. My Dad sent me a link to this movie in an email, and the next day my Mom sent me a link to this movie in an email. How funny! I also saw it in someone else's blog. It's going to be a great one for sure!

My cousin George has decided to go vegan for a week. He says he was "challenged," and it must be that Zader blood in him that accepted the challenge. We are known to be a tad competitive. Good luck George, you can do it! I am excited to hear how you feel after a week. Don't nibble on lettuce and mope around all week. Life is so big and vegan food is so vast  you are bound to find something you love and feel great about!

While I am happy to see movies coming out that promote vegetarian eating, I am a little surprised it took until 2011 for it to happen. Humans and food have been around for...a long time. And we are just now, in 2011, realizing that we are eating the wrong way? Wow. Disheartening and sad, for sure. However, this is inspiration friday so try to stay positive, move forward with your life, continue to love and show compassion to all living creatures, and have a great weekend!

I am so thrilled that George decided to do this. I know he's been wanting to do it but his wife is the skeptical one and is not in favor at all. Let's hope he can do this on his own!!! Thank you Michele for being such a motivating factor and such and inspiration to all of us.

Actually it was Kari's idea! We've both been skeptical but realized we need to change our ways, and we can only do it together. Kari has been to numerous vegan cooking classes and is the catalyst behind our mutual decision to take the challenge. So far, a day and a half in were still going strong and looking forward to what we introduce ourselves to this weekend.

Thanks for posting this! It's unbelieveable how big an impact what we eat makes on how we feel and our overall health. Looking forward to reading more of your posts :-)
